SUBJECT: STOP the Proposed 750 Unit Housing Development at Fox Hills Plaza. Retail only!
MESSAGE CONTENT:
Hello Fox Hills neighbors and friends,
Thank you to everyone who showed up at the developer's community meeting Sept 14, 2017. There were more than 300 people in attendance and we really let the developers know WE ARE AGAINST THEIR PLAN.
It is urgent that we build on this momentum. Send an email to your friends and neighbors using the below suggested copy. Have everyone in your family to send an email!
Your voice counts at this critical part of the planning phase! Don't wait until it's too late. SILENCE = GIVE THEM PERMISSION
There are 2 ACTION ITEMS (write to City & sign the petition) you can do today:
1. Email 5 City Council members, City Planning Committee and other city representatives to let them know that the residents of Fox Hills do not support the proposed housing development in the Fox Hills Plaza.
You can use the text below if you'd like. Add your own additional comments, too:
My name is [insert your name] and I live in Fox Hills. I am strongly against the proposed 750 unit housing development in the former Fox Hills Plaza as well as changing the zoning of the plaza from commercial to mixed use.
Fox Hills is the most dense area in Culver City. The project will only increase traffic, reduce property value and have a negative effect on the Fox Hills community's everyday living.
Fox Hills is already very crowded and it cannot afford a housing development of any magnitude. There are so many other ways that the city could utilize that space, including retail, a pharmacy or a grocery store. I urge and demand you to work with all of Fox Hills residents to create a plan that will both benefit the city of Culver City and enhance the quality of life for those who live and work in Fox Hills.
Sincerely, [insert your name]
